The final Citizenship in the Nation MB Class will be held on Monday, March 17th at 12:30 p.m. at the Scout House. Arrive on time and be prepared.
Do the following for the fourth assignment:
Req 1. Explain what citizenship in the nation means and what it takes to be a good citizen of this country. Discuss the rights, duties, and obligations of a responsible and active American citizen.
Req 4. Discuss each of the following documents with your counselor. Tell your counselor how you feel life in the United States might be different without each one.
Use your MB booklets. Older boys should consider reading the Bill of Rights and the Amendments. Younger boys should use their booklets and might also want to check online for age appropriate materials about the topic.
Req 2a. Visit a place that is listed as a National Historic Landmark or that is on the National Register of Historic Places. Tell your counselor what you learned about the landmark or site and what you found interesting about it.
(Chandler, Chris, Forrest, Owen, and Mike R. have completed this req)
I know the old East Attleborough Academy (I think that's its name) adjacent to the Attleboro Y is listed. The old Attleboro Post Office is also registered. Check the internet and search for places close to you.
